GENERAL INFORMATION

Rapidly advancing information technologies, the transformations brought about by Industry 4.0, and developments in the international economic and political arena underscore the necessity of processing knowledge through new and more sophisticated tools. In a world where machines and intelligent systems are becoming increasingly accessible day by day, it is no longer merely an assumption but a reality that information concerning individuals and societies has also reached vast proportions. At this juncture, the most significant challenge is the shortage of social scientists capable of critically interpreting data. Accordingly, our programme aims to educate students of Political Science and International Relations who possess strong analytical thinking skills, can approach problems from a critical perspective, and can address social science issues through a holistic lens.

The objective of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at AGU is to train individuals with robust theoretical and practical competencies who can comprehend political systems, identify the shortcomings and contemporary challenges of today’s politics, analyze these issues, and develop plausible solutions, utilizing available resources most effectively. Leveraging its dynamic academic staff and the extensive research opportunities offered to students, the programme further aspires to rank among the leading national and international programmes and to generate enduring solutions to global problems.
